Cups of cheer don’t necessarily need to be spiked this cider season. Try this non-alcoholic alternative to spice up your autumn.
Crystal’s Celestial Spiced Cider
6 cups apple cider
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
3 cinnamon sticks (add while brewing)
Cinnamon sticks for garnish
1-inch peeled fresh ginger sliced
1 vanilla bean, split and scraped OR 2 tsp. of vanilla extract
Combine ingredients in sauce pan and heat to boiling over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Strain and pour into mugs, garnish with cinnamon sticks.
