Recipe: Fanny Farmer Fudge

INGREDIENTS :

  • 4-1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 12-13-oz. can evaporated milk
  • 1/2-lb. butter (two sticks)
  • 24 oz. chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped nuts

DIRECTIONS:

  • Combine sugar and milk. Cook until bubbling, then cook for six minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat. Add butter and chocolate chips. Stir until blended. Add vanilla and nuts.
  • Pour into buttered 9×13 pan.

Yield: 5 pounds.
