16 Attend motivational and self-improvement workshops. What more can you ask for than a man willing to improve?
15 Grocery shop at busy times, like 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Single guys who love to cook don’t always plan meals ahead and may be found picking up groceries for dinner.
14 Volunteer. Help serve a community dinner or build a habitat home. Who wouldn’t love a guy who gives back to his community?
13 Shop for your essentials at Menards and Fleet Farm. Man’s mall. Enough said.
12 Host a neighborhood picnic. Invite neighbors you’ve never met. Encourage them to bring a friend or family member and mingle.
11 Frequent karaoke nights, dance to DJs and live bands. This area offers music galore, but you’re not going to hear it from your sofa.
10 Soak in summer festivals and street dances. Every town in Douglas County hosts one. What better way to meet a variety of people you may not otherwise run into?
9 Be open to social media such as Facebook. Reconnect with people from your past and see if you have more in common than just memories.
8 Attend training events away from the office. While you should avoid inter-office romance, occupational workshops are a great place to network with others with similar interests.
7 Attend a community church service or church event. Mingle and introduce yourself to others.
6 Grab a girlfriend and head to a sporting event. From a high-energy high school basketball game, to Blizzard hockey or Blue Anchors baseball, try them all. Join a volleyball or softball league or cheer from the sidelines and mingle with the crowd.
5 Take your car somewhere different every few months for the oil change, car wash, etc. It never hurts to broaden your horizons.
4 Tackle a do-it-yourself project. Frequent supply stores, hardware stores, even self-serve car washes, and… ask for help! A gentleman will be glad to share some tips.
3 Hard-working, handsome men go out for lunch. Prince Charming will never dine across from you if you always eat at your desk.
2 Work out at the gym or local health club or get out walking. Everyone loves someone who takes care of himself.
1 Ask trusted friends and co-workers who the most eligible bachelors are. Don’t be shy. If you make the first move to meet someone, they’ll be flattered. Friends of friends can often
be one of your best resources.
