Wine cork coasters

Wine cork coasters

By Jamie Kakach

wine cork coastersI came across this craft while I was looking for something fun to do with all my extra wine corks.

Directions:
First, carefully cut the wine corks in half length-wise. I used a regular serrated knife, and it took little to no effort to cut through the cork. Cut slow and make sure you have a good grip on the cork so it doesn’t slip.

Remove the glass portion from your picture frame.
This is what you will glue your wine corks to.

Next, use sandpaper to smooth out the cork pieces so they lay flat against the glass. Once all the corks are cut and smoothed, make the pattern you would like for your coaster.

Glue the corks onto the glass, making sure to keep the corks as tightly together as possibly.

Let dry overnight, and enjoy!
