NO SEW SOCK SNOWMAN
1 tube sock (men’s calf or knee sock)
1 pair of decorative ankle socks (women’s)
2 rubber bands
5 buttons (3 medium, 2 small)
Filler (I used a mixture of rice and oatmeal)
Take the men’s sock and cut just under where the tubing ends (should be about 6”). Secure the end by wrapping a rubber band around it.
Next turn the sock inside out (so the rubber band will be inside). Start filling the sock with the filler; push the filler down so you end up with a plump snowman.
Once the sock is completely full, secure the top with another rubber band.
Now take one of the decorative socks and cut off both ends so all that remains is the middle. Pull the decorative sock over the filled tube sock.
Then take the string and tie it around the sock to create three sections. Cut the top elastic off the second decorative sock. Place the sock over the top so it looks like a stocking cap. To make my decorative sock look more like a stocking cap, I tied more string and holly around the bottom.
Now glue three buttons down the front of the snowman in the middle section.
Then glue two smaller buttons for eyes on the top section. For the nose, I just glued on a toothpick that I painted orange.
SOUP CAN VASES
Soup cans (any size)
Turn any soup can into a decorative vase by simply gluing Jute around
the can. The possibilities are limitless! Use for candle holders, table center-pieces, make-up brush holders, etc.
